Second Semester Studies Update

14 February, 2021

February 14, 2021

Greetings to the Hebrew University community,

The second semester will begin on March 14, 2021. At this stage, it is still uncertain when it will be possible to conduct studies on campus. In light of the fact that there are few school days from the start of the semester until the Passover holiday (which begins on March 23rd), classes during the period between March 14th and 22nd will be conducted online (except for laboratory classes, tours and practical training, which will take place on site).

If there is a substantial improvement in the circumstances, an earlier return to studies on campus is possible. You will be notified before the start of the semester if this indeed happens.

After the Passover holiday, starting Sunday, April 4, 2021, we anticipate that all classes will take place on campus. The details of on-campus teaching will be determined and publicized in the coming weeks, and will be subject to the approval of health authorities. In this regard, we remind you of our recent message to students, regarding the possibility that presence in classrooms will be limited to those who were vaccinated, recovered from COVID-19, or were tested recently and were found to not be carriers of the virus.

Best regards,

Prof. Asher Cohen, President

Prof. Barak Medina, Rector

Mr. Yishai Fraenkel, Vice-President and Director General
