Dear Faculty Members,

We hope that the announcement marking the end of the war signals the beginning of a gradual return to the academic routine we experienced in the past. We are already seeing a decline in the number of students called up for reserve duty, and we hope this trend continues.

At the same time, it is clear that many students will continue to serve lengthy reserve-duty periods this year. With the return to campus, we are also encountering many students who have served hundreds of days in various roles.

As part of the university framework for the 2025–26 academic year, we are committed to providing dedicated support and guidance to students who have served more than 300 days since beginning their studies.

We ask you to consider volunteering as mentors for these students. Many are not as familiar with university procedures as their classmates, and many need—and will need—information, support, and guidance throughout the year.

Your role as mentors will include reaching out proactively to the student assigned to you, offering encouragement, and providing useful advice. You may also serve as a point of contact with relevant academic and administrative units that can assist them in their academic path, obtaining tutoring hours, and addressing other challenges that may arise. The required time commitment is small—the goal is simply to be there for the student.

We see this as an opportunity for each of us to support our students as they return to academic life, and we would be grateful if you would consider volunteering for this important initiative.
