Rector's Letter regarding the sanctions announced by the National Organization of Junior Academic Staff

22 July, 2025

Dear Students,

Due to the sanctions announced by the national organization of junior academic staff, junior faculty members who teach or assist in courses are not reporting grades.

We are currently negotiating with the organization and still hope to reach an agreement as soon as possible.

To help you better prepare for the remainder of the exam period, students who took the first sitting of the exam (Moed A) and do not receive their grades at least three working days before the additional sitting (Moed B),
will be allowed to take the additional sitting (Moed B) and receive the higher grade between the two—Moed A or Moed B. The grade will be reported by the instructors/TAs once the sanctions have ended.

Students whose Moed A grades were not published, did not take Moed B, and find out after Moed A grades are released that they need or wish to take an additional exam, may submit a request to the Teaching Committee and will be approved to take a special exam. In this case, the grade from the special exam will be the one that counts.

We hope the sanctions will end soon and that the already busy exam period will proceed as planned.

Best of luck to all of you,
Tamir Sheafer
