Dear Members of the Hebrew University Community,
Following the government’s decision regarding returning to normal activities in institutions of higher education, the Hebrew University management has decided the following:
- From now, entrance to the campus is open to everyone. You must show a “green badge” or a declaration of lack of Covid-19 symptoms (via the University’s app).
- Entrance to classrooms is open to “green badge” holders and to those who have a negative recent corona test. There is no limit on the number of students in a classroom, however you must wear a mask during class.
- Outside of classrooms, activities in the University, including research labs, offices as well as teaching labs, are in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines. Wearing a mask in closed areas is still mandatory.
- Courses that take place on campus with parallel online teaching will continue as before. Teachers who teach today off campus are invited to teach in classrooms on campus beginning from Sunday, April 25th, as long as the class is simultaneously available to those not present in class, via special equipment in the classroom or via the teacher’s laptop. It is important for classes to take place in the classrooms as much as possible. Please update the department’s secretariat and students enrolled in the course of how the course is taught. All exams and quizzes will take place on campus, including courses that are taught remotely.
- We strongly recommend that students return to classes in the classrooms. There is available room in the dormitories and we have made special arrangements regarding short-term rental of dormitory rooms.
We wish you good health and a pleasant return to campus.
All the best,
Barak Medina, Rector
