As you know, the members of the academic staff have started sanctions. We are sorry for the difficulties these sanctions cause you, and we will do everything to reduce them.

The Senate of the Hebrew University convened yesterday (Wednesday) for a special meeting on preserving the independence of the judiciary sector. This special discussion was scheduled following a request from at least 20 members of the Senate.

Please see the joint statement from the presidents and rectors of public universities, regarding the legislative changes planned in the legal arena. The statement was delivered to the media a short while ago and is agreed upon by the presidents and rectors of the following universities: Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Technion, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Bar Ilan, Weizmann, Ben Gurion, and Ariel.

The Public Arena and a Special Session of the Senate
Dear faculty members,
The Hebrew University encourages research publishing in journals with Open Access (OA). To this end, we are working to subsidize the price of publishing in this format. There are publishers who have already signed an agreement whereby HU faculty members who are main authors (PI) publishing articles via OA are not charged a fee (for a current list of journals and more details see here).
