To the Hebrew University community—greetings,
We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy, and we send our heartfelt strength to you during these challenging days.
Due to the current security situation, we have decided to extend teaching and learning via Zoom at least until the end of this week. (The faculty will notify you in cases where Zoom instruction is not possible, such as during clinical teaching and laboratory work.)
We will be flexible regarding assignment submissions, as well as exams and tests, in light of the situation.
I’d like to inform you that the Moodle issue from Sunday has been resolved.
All lectures will be recorded and the recordings made available for those of you who may have difficulty attending the live sessions.
We fully understand that it’s very difficult to teach and learn under these circumstances—sometimes even impossible—not only for those mobilized for reserve duty, but also for those caring for young children at home. There are many legitimate reasons for these challenges, but we also believe in the importance of trying to maintain the learning routine as much as possible. Lecturers will adapt course material as much as possible to the current situation and support those struggling to keep up.
We will continue to provide regular updates on any changes, depending on the situation and Home Front Command guidelines.
Students: for any academic questions, please contact your departments and programs.
You can contact the hotline at the psychological service of the Student Dean's Office. See details in this link.
Sincerely,
Prof. Tamir Sheafer, Rector
