Dear Hebrew University students,
The Second Semester will open on Sunday, March 6, 2022, and I wish you much success.
Teaching will take place in classrooms and laboratories (distance learning will take place for only a few designated courses). In most courses, the lessons will be filmed and will be available for viewing after the lesson, to help those who are unable to attend the lesson for a justifiable reason, and to enable further study for all students.
Entry to campus does not require presenting a "green pass". Until further notice, it is required to wear a mask while in the classrooms.
As a rule, students are obligated to attend classes. Presence in a classroom is critical to meaningful learning. A student who is unable to attend a lesson should notify the instructor in advance, by email. Please actively participate in the class, by answering teacher's questions and asking questions of your own, and offering comments and critiques. Please refrain from expressions that can be considered disrespectful to others. It is advisable to study in groups, to exchange opinions and ideas. Use learning as an opportunity to get to know students from a different cultural background than your own.
In addition to the academic and administrative staff in each department and faculty, please consider consulting, as needed, with the International Office and the various units in the Dean of Students office. We promise to try to help as best we can.
Sincerely, Barak Medina, Rector
